Our Seahorse Apartments are made for beach holidays in Devon. They’re a stone’s throw from Westward Ho! Beach, a glorious two-mile stretch of sand on a spectacular stretch of the North Devon coast. From our luxury self-catering accommodation, you can gaze across Bideford Bay to Lundy Island and watch the sun set on the Atlantic Ocean. Westward Ho! is perfect for an active break with brilliant surfing and kiteboarding conditions. It’s the region’s only holder of the Blue Flag Award, so you can expect a clean, safe environment for playing on the sand or an invigorating swim in the ocean. The size of the beach means there’s plenty of space for everyone – even in the middle of summer. Whether you want to build a sandcastle, lie in the sun with a good book or catch a few waves, a more picturesque spot would be hard to imagine. Westward Ho! is famous among locals for Hockings Ice Cream – a must for anyone visiting the beach! There’s nothing quite like the taste of Hockings, and the recipe is a family secret which many of our visitors have tried to guess over the years.
We designed our seafront apartments to provide our guests with the ultimate beach holiday in North Devon. All accommodation is located in the heart of Westward Ho! village, a two-minute stroll from the shore. On the seafront you’ll discover a variety of beach bars, restaurants and surf shops – ideal for an afternoon in the sun or a fun night out. You’ll have secure, off-road parking moments from your front door to ensure that arriving for your Westward Ho! beach holiday is completely hassle-free. Each apartment is equipped with a supersize TV and complimentary WIFI so you can check the surf or watch a film after a long day on the beach. Summer beach holidays in North Devon are amazing, but winter is also a great time to visit with very few crowds and the opportunity to watch Atlantic storms from the comfort of your apartment, through your floor-to-ceiling windows.
Once you’ve arrived in Westward Ho! we’ll be delighted to provide you with tips on where to pick up a bucket of spade, get a good cup of coffee or rent surfing equipment. There are a number of excellent surf schools right by the sea if you’re a beginner and need a little guidance to catch your first wave. We’ll also be happy to recommend some of our favourite spots in the area if you fancy exploring the coast. Heading east and west along the coast, you’ll discover secluded, rocky coves such as Bucks Mills, and ancient fishing villages like Clovelly – a must-see on beach holidays on the North Devon coast.
